Eccentric Rotary Regulating Valve

Summary:The rotary control valve features a simple structure, compact size, and lightweight design. It consists of components such as the valve body, valve core, stem, and seat. Its closing member is shaped like a sphere, which rotates 90° around the stem's axis to achieve opening and closing—making operation exceptionally convenient and ideal for remote control. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surfaces between the sphere and the valve seat are completely isolated from the media, ensuring that the medium flowing through won’t erode the valve’s sealing surfaces.

Overview

The rotary control valve features a simple structure, compact size, and lightweight design. It consists of components such as the valve body, valve core, stem, and seat. Its closing member is shaped like a sphere, which rotates 90° around the stem's axis to achieve opening and closing—making operation exceptionally convenient and well-suited for remote control. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surfaces between the sphere and the valve seat are completely isolated from the media; thus, even when the medium flows through, there’s no risk of erosion on the valve’s sealing surfaces.

The rotary control valve offers low fluid resistance, while the full-bore spherical control valve virtually eliminates flow obstruction. It boasts excellent sealing performance, ensuring complete media containment and reliable shut-off, and is easy to maintain. Additionally, the wiping action during the valve’s opening and closing process makes it well-suited for applications involving media containing suspended solid particles. This type of valve is particularly ideal for handling common working fluids such as water, solvents, acids, and natural gas—and even more demanding media like oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane, and ethylene. As a result, it has found extensive use across various industries and is now widely adopted in vacuum systems as well.

Features

The eccentric rotary control valve is a novel-structured, high-performance control valve that features a partially spherical valve core with an eccentric rotational design. The center of rotation for the valve core is offset from the axis of rotation, significantly reducing friction between the valve core and valve seat during operation. This minimizes wear on the valve seat, thereby extending the valve's service life. Additionally, the valve is equipped with a deflector wing at its rear end, which promotes stable fluid flow and ensures excellent operational stability. Moreover, this valve boasts advantages such as large flow capacity and a wide adjustable range. It is ideally suited for handling highly viscous media, as well as fluids containing particles, suspensions, slurries, mineral powders, and other similar materials. Its robust design also makes it particularly effective for controlling process systems involving slurry-like substances.
