V-Type Regulating Ball Valve
Category: Eccentric Rotary Regulating Valve
Product Details
Overview
The rotary control valve features a simple structure, compact size, and lightweight design. It consists of components such as the valve body, valve core, stem, and seat. Its closing member is shaped like a sphere, which rotates 90° around the stem's axis to achieve opening and closing—making operation exceptionally convenient and ideal for remote control applications. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surfaces between the sphere and the valve seat are completely isolated from the media, ensuring that the medium flowing through won't erode the valve's sealing surfaces.
The rotary control valve offers low fluid resistance, while the full-bore spherical control valve virtually eliminates flow obstruction. It boasts excellent sealing performance, ensuring complete media containment and reliable shut-off, and is easy to maintain. Additionally, the wiping action during the valve’s opening and closing process makes it suitable for applications involving media containing suspended solid particles. This type of valve is particularly well-suited for handling common working fluids such as water, solvents, acids, and natural gas—and even more demanding media like oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane, and ethylene. As a result, spherical control valves have found extensive use across various industries and are now widely adopted in vacuum systems as well.

Features
The V-type regulating ball valve features a V-shaped notch cut into the ball surface. When the valve is closed, this V-notch creates a wedge-shaped shearing action against the valve seat, effectively preventing the ball from seizing up. At the same time, the V-notch delivers excellent throttling performance. This valve is ideally suited for applications involving highly viscous media, as well as fluids containing particles, suspensions, slurries, mineral powders, and other similar substances. It is particularly well-suited for controlling pulp, wastewater, and fiber-containing media.
