A ball valve is a type of valve in which the closing member (the ball) is driven by a stem and rotates around the valve’s axis. It can also be used for fluid regulation and control. Among these, the hard-sealed V-type ball valve features a V-shaped ball core that generates strong shearing action against the metal seat coated with welded hard alloy, making it particularly suitable for media containing fibers or tiny solid particles. Meanwhile, multi-port ball valves offer versatile functionality on pipelines, allowing flexible control over fluid convergence, divergence, and flow direction changes—plus, they can isolate any single port while simultaneously connecting the remaining two. Typically, valves of this type should be installed horizontally within the pipeline. Ball valves are classified according to their actuation methods into pneumatic ball valves, electric ball valves, and manual ball valves.
